You may have heard the term digital detox somewhere. It simply refers to a practice where one doesn’t use any electronic devices and avoids all kinds of screens for a set amount of time. This time can be anywhere from a few hours a day to even a week of not having any interaction with screens. In this every single place you go are surrounded with screens. While doing digital detox may sound too difficult for most but if you succeed in doing it, the rewards you’ll reap are something you wouldn’t imagine.  Can you think of a time where something that you were doing or thought you would do was your own original idea? Well, the answer must be no, right? The main problem with people these days is that they are unable to think of something out of the box. Being surrounded by digital media at all times means that your brain is being exposed to ready made ideas constantly. Knowingly or unknowingly you’ll tend to copy those ideas without even thinking once. But with a break in this pattern and following digital detox you will be able to come up with your own unique solution. Being surrounded by screens means notifications popping out from everywhere, whether it be a message notification from your loved one or maybe just a random advertisement. It is certain that you’ll be distracted from your task. Even if the screen is turned off all your concentration can be disrupted by a beep beep on your phone! I don’t have to tell you how frustrating it can be when you lose focus on a very important task. This could take a big toll on your productivity. Disconnecting from screens can allow you to stay focused and also stimulate your interests.  With screens being literally everywhere everyone deserves to take a break from them.
